The announcement of President Trump’s visit to Melbourne, Florida today didn’t come from the White House. What rolled into my email inbox this week was from “Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.,” the official campaign arm of President Trump, as the 2020 campaign for the White House gets underway with 1,354 days to go until November 3, 2020.
“I’ll be in Melbourne, Florida five o’clock on Saturday and I heard — just heard that the crowds are massive that want to be there,” Mr. Trump said at his news conference on Wednesday at the White House.
“We will be giving a speech, as I said, in Melbourne, Florida, at 5:00 p.m. I hope to see you there,” he added.
For those who missed it in the blizzard of news that has taken place since the President was sworn into office – not even a full month ago – Mr. Trump actually has already filed his paperwork to run for President in 2020.
He did that as soon as he was in office, as is noted on the website of the Federal Election Commission:
Trump’s campaign website has already been working to push the President’s new themes in office, pushing out a questionnaire about the news media this week, coinciding Trump’s declaration on Friday that much of the media was the “enemy of the American People.”
Don't believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it.
