With his supporters celebrating a recount that confirmed his victory, President-Elect Donald Trump goes back out on the road this evening in Wisconsin, kicking off a series of campaign-style rallies in four states over the next five days, as he continues his post-election “Thank You Tour.”
Scheduled to be on hand with Trump outside Milwaukee this evening will be House Speaker Paul Ryan – it was not so long ago that the Speaker disinvited Trump from a joint election event in his home state because of controversy over Trump’s own words about women – but Trump overcame that to become the first GOP candidate to win Wisconsin since Ronald Reagan in 1984.
Also on the Trump schedule this week, stops in Pennsylvania, Florida and Alabama.
The President-Elect has clearly enjoyed his recent travels, which have resembled his 2016 campaign rallies, as he alternately plugs his plans for a Trump Administration and takes a few shots at opponents along the way.
The underlying message is a very familiar one:
“We will make America great again,” Trump said to loud cheers last week in Iowa.
